Your cruise
Set sail for 3 to 5 days to explore Guadeloupe and its islands, with their crystal-clear anchorages, fine-sand beaches, and tropical landscapes. From Guadeloupe, Philippe, your skipper, will take you aboard his sailboat to explore Les Saintes and Marie-Galante, two iconic destinations with unique atmospheres and landscapes. This sailing course will allow you to fully enjoy the experience while improving your skills on board as you progress through the different stages.
As you sail, you’ll discover the charms of Guadeloupe, the unspoiled landscapes of Les Saintes, and the authentic atmosphere of Marie-Galante. Swimming, snorkeling, exploring the islands, and moments of relaxation will punctuate this getaway in the heart of the Caribbean, depending on the conditions and your preferences.
Your possible stops during this cruise
Here is a sample itinerary for your 3- to 5-day catamaran training cruise to the islands of Guadeloupe.
Depending on your preferences and sailing conditions, Philippe can tailor the itinerary so you can make the most of each stop. The itinerary will be planned with the group and can be adjusted starting on the first day aboard.
You’re scheduled to board at 9:00 a.m. in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.
Upon arrival, Philippe will welcome you aboard and introduce you to the sailboat as well as the main safety guidelines. After you’ve settled in and completed the final preparations, you’ll have the chance to discuss the different stages of your course with him and get your bearings on board.
You’ll then set sail for Les Saintes for your first sailing trip departing from Guadeloupe. This first leg will give you the chance to get familiar with the sailboat and discover the joys of sailing in Caribbean waters. Once there, you’ll take advantage of your stopover to explore the archipelago and enjoy its exceptional setting.
The voyage will then continue toward Marie-Galante, another gem of the Antilles. Throughout the crossing, Philippe will guide you in sailing, and you’ll gradually be able to take part in various maneuvers based on your preferences and skill level.
Your trip will unfold at the pace of the sailing and stops between Les Saintes, Marie-Galante, and Guadeloupe. Each day will be an opportunity to improve your sailing skills while fully enjoying life at sea. Depending on your preferences and the conditions, you can participate in the maneuvers, learn to sail or improve your skills, swim in crystal-clear waters, explore the seabed while snorkeling, or simply enjoy the scenery from the sailboat.
After your final sail, you’ll head to Pointe-à-Pitre, where you’ll disembark around 5:00 p.m.
Three days are enough to discover the highlights of this itinerary, but a few extra days offer an even more complete experience. With 4 or 5 days on board, give yourself time to enjoy more sailing and stopovers to fully explore Les Saintes and Marie-Galante.
