Your possible stops during this cruise
Depending on weather conditions, the itinerary and program may be modified on the first day on board. The itinerary below is an example.
Day 1: Boarding scheduled for 09:00 at Saint-Malo (to be confirmed according to tide times). Installation on the boat, presentation of life on board and safety rules. Departure for the crossing to Jersey, the Channel Island closest to Saint-Malo and the best known. Discovery of Saint-Hélier, with the possibility of shopping in town or enjoying the bay's long beach, and for the more enthusiastic, a trip ashore to the typical little port of Gorey.
Day 2: Set sail for Guernsey, a rather quiet island much loved by artists. From the south, we anchor at the first natural shelter "Moulin Huet Bay", where Pierre Auguste Renoir's paintings are set. We'll spend the night at Saint Peter Port, where you can visit Hauteville House, where Victor Hugo stayed during his exile. It was in Guernsey that he finalized the writing of Les Misérables.
Day 3: If conditions are good, we can stop off and anchor at the Isle of Herm, where we'll spend the afternoon. Herm is the smallest of the islands we'll be visiting, situated halfway between Guernsey and Sark. It boasts some lovely beaches, ideal for swimming or just lazing around.
Day 4: We set sail for Sark, an island somewhat isolated from the rest of the world. The contrast with neighboring Jersey is striking. Until recently, Sark was ruled by its Seigneur. Since then, however, a more democratic system has been put in place. Sark is a paradise for lovers of peace and nature. You can wander according to your instincts without getting lost, as the island remains on a human scale. The best-known sights are the gardens of the Seigneurie, the mini harbour and the famous coupée, which links the southern and northern parts of the island via a 3 m-wide isthmus that towers 80 m above the sea.
Day 5: Crossing to the island of Alderney, the most northerly of the archipelago. En route, we sail through the Raz Blanchard, one of France's most powerful ocean currents. Alderney will delight lovers of walks, flora and, above all, seabirds, especially puffins and gannets. Surprisingly, the island boasts the only small train in the archipelago.
Day 6: Depending on weather conditions and motivation, we'll start the return crossing on the night of day 5 to day 6, or in the early morning, to reach Saint-Malo.

I really enjoyed this cruise between Guernsey and the north coast of Brittany. Levoilier is an excellent boat, fast and seaworthy. Sercq Brehat is a very well preserved wilderness. I recommend it.
Jean Luc perfectly organized a program adapted to the weather conditions and the crew. Jean Luc is a very competent skipper who is concerned about safety and who knows his boat and the terrain perfectly, as well as being very pleasant to deal with
The wild anchorage at Sark and the passages of the South Herm buoy with a good wind and current
It was a great week's cruising, with some fine sailing, maneuvering and navigating. A good balance between time at sea and time ashore. Jean-Luc made us feel completely at ease, and his boat is fast, comfortable and spacious.
Thank you Jean-Luc for this week along the Breton coast!
I have just returned from a Channel Islands cruise and I am delighted. Between two sailings we took the time to disembark to discover Jersey, Guernsey but also Herm and Serq that I did not know.
Jean-Luc is not only an experienced skipper with whom we feel safe, but he also has great human qualities. Very friendly, adaptable, benevolent, he makes sure that everyone can find his place on board. He willingly shares his experience and lets us participate in the maneuvers. Afterwards, the apprentice sailors are more or less gifted!!! The meals on board are convivial and I agree with the previous comments: Jean-Luc's shrimps with curry are excellent. I will book again with great pleasure a cruise with Jean-Luc.
Swimming at the end of the afternoon in Serq Meeting with the dolphins Aperitifs and friendly meals
We had an excellent week with our skipper Jean-Luc. He knew how to adapt to the weather conditions and the sanitary restrictions which did not allow us to go to the Channel Islands. Instead, we discovered with happiness the North coast of Brittany from Saint-Malo to the 7 Islands. Our team mates were friendly, from the novice to the experienced, and everyone found their place and was well coached by Jean-Luc according to their level. Everything was well organised and we felt confident.
Thanks Jean-Luc for this week and see you soon for the Anglos!
We loved the river trips, especially the discovery of the town of Tréguier at the end of the Jaudy river
We thought we were going to the Channel Islands, but the covid and the headwinds offered us a 100% Breton coastal cruise instead... and we didn't regret it for a minute! We sailed between Saint-Malo and Roscoff, explored the rias and disembarked for a timeless trip to Chausey. Last but not least, the boat was spacious and comfortable, cleverly fitted out, and a pleasure to sail on.
Jean-Luc is a welcoming, warm, very competent and responsible skipper, as well as an excellent instructor. For my husband and I, who are apprentices to sailing at sea, it has been a valuable experience, really stimulating to benefit from his expertise and advice.
The Channel Islands are a very beautiful local destination. Best of all, Jean-Luc has entrusted me with the helm several times and made me participate in a few manoeuvres! I will leave as soon as possible for a similar cruise. My dream turned into a very beautiful trip!
I have always felt confident with Jean-Luc despite the unfavourable weather conditions: in his role as skipper and as a hiking guide he has performed perfectly. As a cook and travel companion too.
Despite a very variable weather, of season, I spent a pleasant week of initiation in the open sea; only water, waves and distant islands towards which we approach slowly and where we discover sites and memorable colors. A great experience to do without hesitation.
jean luc is more than a skipper! attentive, he is also a cook, a tour guide and full of advice...
Very nice cruise. Great shared moments, beautiful walks, laughter, day and night sailing very informative and pleasant. I went alone and met the crew on board, very nice encounters. In short, a very good holiday. To be repeated and recommended without fail.
Jean Luc has been a very educational skipper, easy to live with and always taking care of the crew. I will repeat the experience to have a good holiday and continue to learn the art of sailing!
Very nice cruise. Jean Luc is a skipper who is very attentive to the well-being of everyone. Patient in his nautical explanations, he wishes to share his passion for sailing and adapts to the level of all team members. I really enjoyed the sailing sessions, the study of the currents and the night departures to enjoy a more favourable weather! the stopovers in small coves were not lacking in charm, Jean Luc made us discover parts of the Channel Islands that I did not know... the week passed much too quickly... Thank you for these very good moments. Armelle
reactive and responsive, thank you.
Great stay, very well organized breathtaking spots especially in Herms and Sark.
Super skipper, Jean-Luc is very professional and explains well the manoeuvres to be performed (we were novices). He always offers us several choices of destinations according to our desires. Life on board went very well and the cuisine is excellent!
We lived several different worlds, night at the port, at anchor in wild and charming bays, a total change of scenery. During the day, the hikes on the islands were breathtaking and full of surprises. Even the dolphins came to greet the sailboat, breathtaking!
On board, Jean-Luc explained many details about navigation to us by involving us and answering all our questions. For the food, only fresh and good that Jean-Luc brought from his region. An intentional and experienced skipper.
The entire cruise will remain an excellent memory.
