Your cruise
Discover the Cyclades or the Saronic Islands on a comfortable sailboat departing from Lavrion with a professional crew at your disposal.
Your possible stops during this cruise
There are many sailing options to discover the many islands in Greece, the charm of the ports of call, the walks, the taverns and the nightlife. From Lavrion, you can choose between the Cyclades or the Saronic Islands. If you want to discover the Northern Cyclades, know that at 90% on average, this itinerary can be done!
Suggested itinerary for the Cyclades below
day 1 : Lavrion Marina (Arrival 5:00 pm)
The port of Lavrion is located about 1 hour from Athens. Very convenient to access, this port has remained calm and charming despite the commercial and private ships of recent years
Arriving at 5pm at the marina, you will have time to explore the city and visit the oldest amphitheater in Greece. The marble columns of the nearby temple of Poseidon were extracted from this site. This city remains popular with its wide selection of restaurants and bars to grab a bite to eat or a drink while watching people come and go
day 2 : Lavrion - Serifos (about 6.5 hours sailing)
Serifos has curiously managed to keep its authentic charm, its discreet side and its relaxed atmosphere. You won't find trendy bars, jet-skis and deckchairs, the small authentic taverns usually serve home-made food. Try the chickpea soup ("revythada") with rosemary is the local specialty, as well as seafood and sausages. Most of the 72 beaches have few, if any, footprints, and are noticeable by the golden sand or colored pebbles
Avlomonas, near the port of Livadi, is the only beach with deck chairs. Livadakia, Ganema, Psili Ammos, Aghios Sostis and Sykamia are also excellent, well-shaded and popular sites
Serifos is sparsely populated (1,400 inhabitants), the infrastructure is poorly developed, so the beaches are only accessible by footpaths, retaining their charm and authenticity
day 3 : Serifos - Milos (about 4.5 hours sailing)
Milos is famous for its lace, but with more than 75 beaches, with its crystal clear waters, colorful sculpted rocks and white and golden sand beaches, you are sure to love it! Due to the volcanic origin of the island, Milos has a remarkable topography and a variety of beaches
Sometimes you can find sandy beaches with platinum and sometimes bays surrounded by pebbles, white, red, yellow or black rocks. Kleftiko, consisting of original volcanic rocks, offers a magical landscape, but also an ideal place to enjoy the clear blue-green water and the sun. Today, these unique geological places are perfect for swimming and exploring with unique access from the sea
You can enjoy the many restaurants, cafes and bars (48 at last count) on the island, and many stores and nightclubs near the main marina
day 4: Milos - Kimolos (about 2.5 hours sailing)
The island has two sides: a northern part with a rugged and rocky terrain and a softer southern part with long sandy beaches shaded by trees and meadows extending to the water's edge
Kimolos has remained away from the hustle and bustle of its more cosmopolitan Cycladic peers and prices are among the lowest in the archipelago. The port of Psathi, with its authentic Cycladic look, has remained untouched by mass tourism: there are only a handful of taverns, a café-bar and a few houses. Only the arrival of the ferries interrupts the tranquility
day 5: Kimolos - Sifnos (about 2 hours sailing)
One of the most traditional islands of the Cyclades, it is home to ancient forts, long beaches, picturesque churches, unique local festivities, a long tradition of pottery and excellent cuisine
day 6: Sifnos - Kythnos (approx. 4.5 hours sailing time)
Departure at 8:00 am in the direction of Kythnos for an exciting day of sailing. Arriving in Kythnos in the early afternoon, also known as Thermia because of its natural thermal springs, head to the thermal center of Loutra to taste the healing properties of the spa. The warm waters of these natural springs have attracted visitors for hundreds of years, if not thousands
If a refreshing swim is more your style, Loutra Beach offers a beautiful beach that is not too crowded. At the end of this refreshing day, enjoy dinner at Katerina's Taverna in Loutra and a drink at the Sofrano Yachting Club before returning to your boat moored in Loutra Bay
day 7: Kythnos Lavrion Marina (about 4 hours sailing)
Departure at 10:00 am for Lavrion. Enjoy this last day of sailing! Keep your eyes open, you may be lucky enough to see dolphins, which are numerous in these waters!
Arrival at Lavrion around 5PM, it will be the end of the cruise.
Day 8: Lavrion Disembarkation at 9:00 am, with lots of good memories!
Here is another suggestion for a cruise in the Saronic Islands
