Your possible stops during this cruise
For this cruise, you can opt for a 5-day cruise or extend the adventure by 3 days to better discover Guadeloupe and its islands. Below, we show you as an example the itinerary that could be yours. This one is likely to be modified according to the weather.
Example of a 5 days program :
DAY 1 : Boarding at the Marina du Bas du Fort and direction Ilet Gosier (1h of navigation)
Boarding is scheduled at 2pm at the Marina at the bottom of the Fort. After your installation and the possible provisioning of food and drink, François, your skipper, will give you a briefing on the safety instructions to be known on board. Then you will start the cruise with a short sail to the Gosier islet which will allow you to moor gently and discover one of the most beautiful anchorages of Guadeloupe. In the evening, aperitif sunset on the boat with a view of the Soufrière.
DAY 2: Heading for Marie Galante (3h30 of navigation)
Getting to grips with the boat under sail, it will certainly be necessary to tack upwind: the opportunity to trim the sails and steer the boat.
In the afternoon, several possibilities will be offered to you. You can take advantage of the surrounding beaches for a snorkeling session or a moment of idleness. You will also have the opportunity to rent a car or a taxi to visit this island still very agricultural with its landscapes of sugar cane fields as far as the eye can see, its mills and its famous distilleries. In the evening, possibility to go and enjoy the animation of one of the picturesque musical bars. For the night, anchorage at Anse Canot or in the bay of Saint Louis depending on the swell.
DAY 3 : Hoist the sails towards Les Saintes (3hrs sailing)
For this new day, you'll sail in the open sea between Marie Galante and Les Saintes, with good sensations of speed in perspective! For the stopover, you can drop anchor at Anse du bourg, on the islet of Cabrit or the Pain de sucre. Take advantage of the anchorage to offer you a snorkeling session in one of the many very famous spots of the archipelago, especially Petite-Anse near the Pain de Sucre.
DAY 4 : Day in Les Saintes
After breakfast on board, you can discover Les Saintes by visiting the island of Terre-de-Haut on foot or by bike, especially Fort Napoleon.In the evening, when the last ferries leave the island, you will be one of the privileged few to enjoy the unique atmosphere ashore.
DAY 5 : Departure from Les Saintes and return to Le Gosier (4hrs sailing)
You will have the morning to enjoy one last time in Les Saintes before we weigh anchor to reach Le Gosier in Guadeloupe and make the disembarkation there.
3 additional days in option
If you choose to extend your stay by 3 extra days, you will be able to :
- Extend the duration of your stopovers in the different islands
- Add stopovers along the leeward coast of the Basse-Terre (Pigeon Islet, Cousteau Reserve)
- Sail to Dominica to discover this charming island
The skipper sleeps in a double cabin, the others are available for passengers
