Your cruise

Set sail from Flisvos Marina, Athens

Our organized cruises are planned according to local weather conditions, to ensure pleasant sailing. They are subject to change according to your wishes, the skipper's advice and weather conditions.
We'll visit the most beautiful parts of the islands on offer, and you'll be able to swim in pristine spots accessible only by boat. Our cruises leave plenty of independence to explore on your own. when you arrive in port in the afternoon, you're free to do as you please until the morning.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Travel by sailboat to the Saronic Islands or the nearest Cyclades islands. The professional skipper will suggest 5 different islands to visit during your sailboat cruise.

A typical day on board:
After breakfast, we leave port, sail and anchor in a bay for swimming, snorkeling and lunch. We then sail to the planned island (stop in port), arrive in the early afternoon and spend the night.
Until the next morning, you'll have free time to explore the island, including lunch in a typical Mediterranean tavern.
please note that we normally sail, but if the wind is light, we can also motor to complete our excursion.

Here are two examples of itineraries for your Sailing Cruise in the Saronic Islands or Cyclades, which you can define with the skipper according to weather conditions, your wishes and the skipper's advice.

Example 1. Saronic Islands (6-day cruise):
Medium or less wind, more relaxed sailing, with medium distances, +20 - 30 kilometers between islands. Possibility of a slight change to the program, to visit the ancient theater of Epidaurus.

Day 1: Boarding in Athens for Aegina
Boarding in Athens next to Flisvos marina on Sunday morning from 10:00 a.m. Destination: the island of Aegina (overnight).

Day 2: Sailing to Angistri via Moni
New navigation, from the island of Aegina to the island of Angistri, with a stop at Moni. Angistri is a peaceful, green, non-touristy island, covered by a pine forest (overnight).

Day 3: Angistri island to Methana
Sail from Angistri to the port of Methana, a non-touristy place, just as peaceful with its thermal springs (overnight).

Day 4: Methana to Poros Island
This time, we head for the region's largest town and port, Poros. Here you'll find tourist stores for souvenirs, typical tavernas, bars and a very long quay for strolling around, all of which will make for a fun and interesting cruise.

Day 5: Poros island to Hydra* island
A traditional medieval place with no cars (still using only horses and donkeys!). Take your time to explore the village and its old port.
*Depending on local weather conditions, the visit to Hydra may be modified.

Day 6: Hydra Island and return to Athens
Last day with a longer sail and a stop in a bay on the island of Aegina. Return to Athens in the late afternoon and overnight on board. Possibility of dinner in Athens (in the old center), or dinner at Flisvos marina.

Day 7: Disembarkation the following morning at around 08:00-08:30, with many fond memories of your cruise!
please note that, depending on your flight, disembarkation may also take place on Friday evening.

Example 2: Cyclades (7-day cruise):
On request and depending on weather conditions, the Cyclades islands can be reached (7-day charter): Most of the time with strong winds, enjoy more active sailing with longer distances, +30 - 50 kilometers between islands (+5 hours of sailing per day).

The cruise

We had a fantastic 6 days sailing around the Saronic islands. Highlights included Hydra, Agistriand Poros. We swam ate and slept on the boat. Vardis is extremely knowledgeable about the various islands and was flexible and accommodating when it came to our plans.

The skipper

Easy to communicate with and prompt in his communication. We would highly recommend.

The cruise

Very nice cruise on the Saronic islands. Active participation on the sailboat with Vardis. Everything was perfect, the weather, the stopovers on the islands, the little restaurants, really typical and not expensive, between €12 and €15 per person. We were able to sail and motor.

The skipper

Vardis was very attentive to our needs. He was our discreet guide and told us all about the history of his country and the islands, was very helpful and was always ready to help and inform us. Great week's vacation with magnificent scenery.

The cruise

I had a half-board cruise along the Saronic Islands with Vardis and it was a great choice. Each day Vardis provided different choices for places to visit or stops for swimming in marvelous and quiet places. We had stops in traditional villages in the evenings and one of them in a quiet pristine bay with just our boat on that island.

The skipper

Vardis is an experienced sailor, reserved, and always smiling. He is very sensitive and offered options accordingly to our tastes. For him, there is no hurry, and he is happy to please the guests' needs. I hope to meet him in the near future and repeat our great experience.

Best memories

Our trip highlight was a stop for lunch in a secluded and paradisiac bay with a few beautiful ruins of houses that belonged once to a family, a nice beach, and no other anchored boats. Vardis asked if we would like to change our plans and stay there for the night. Hopefully, we all accepted his suggestion!

The cruise

Very nice cruise in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere! During the day, the anchorages allow you to discover beautiful coves accessible only by boat and in the evening, while in port, you can visit the islands in complete freedom (Aegina, Agristi, Poros, Hydra and the Methana peninsula). The boat offers the comfort of a 20 years old sailing boat but it is very well maintained by Vardis.

The skipper

Vardis is a very nice captain, professional, warm and attentive to his passengers that he really wants to satisfy. Thank you very much for this beautiful cruise!

The cruise

Great family week in the Saronic Islands with Vardis! Beautiful islands, nice weather, small charming Greek villages and quiet coves with transparent waters! We highly recommend this trip with Vardis!

The skipper

Vardis has greatly contributed to the quality of this trip: he is very kind and always in a good mood. His boat is very well maintained and he knows the region and the locals very well; he made us discover authentic places. We were on half board, he made us discover every lunchtime good Greek dishes in a dream place and in the evening we had dinner in local taverns. Thank you Vardis for this unforgettable week!

The cruise

A wonderful week with an itinerary left to our choice from the beginning of the cruise. We were able to visit the Saronic islands and 2 islands of the Cyclades. Vardis knew how to show us the best places of the islands and to make us discover several places by different days by alternating the bathing, the rest and the discovery of the sail. The weather was very nice and allowed us to travel by sail and motor. The boat is big enough for 5 people and allows to live comfortably.

The skipper

Vardis was always very attentive and attentive to our needs. The half board meals in the morning and at noon were local and very healthy allowing us to discover the Greek cuisine. We were lucky to have a very experienced skipper who knew all the places and good restaurants for the evening meals. He also shared his knowledge of sailing and let us take the helm to sail.

My partner and I had an amazing week. Vardis is an extraordinary skipper who made us discover places out of the crowd and made us participate in the sailing manoeuvres. He is infinitely kind and always listens to our wishes and it is with passion that he told us the history of his beautiful country Greece. I recommend without reservation this beautiful human adventure.
