During these sailing courses departing from Martinique, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the skills needed to sail independently on a sailboat (trimming, motor and sail maneuvers, navigation with and without electronic instruments, anchoring techniques, etc.).
The skipper, a state-certified sailing instructor with 25 years of experience, will tailor his instruction to each participant’s skill level and goals to ensure progress and enjoyment.

Below is an example of what your itinerary might look like for a POGO 1250 cruise departing from Martinique:
Boarding at the Marin Marina in Martinique
You’ll meet your skipper at 4:00 PM at the marina to board the boat. You’ll spend the evening on board—the perfect time to get to know your skipper. (Provisions will be stocked the next morning before departure.)
- Heading for the island of Dominica
Set sail for Dominica and the town of Portsmouth, where you’ll arrive in the afternoon. You’ll be enchanted by this charming island where nature takes center stage! Overnight at anchor.
- Stopover at Les Saintes
A short sail will take you to the Île des Saintes, which you can explore before spending an afternoon snorkeling to discover the underwater world. In the evening, dinner and overnight at anchor.
- Stopover in Guadeloupe
During this sailing course, you’ll set sail for Guadeloupe. Grande-Terre offers visitors white-sand beaches, coconut palms, and lagoons of an incredible turquoise blue. A paradise on earth to discover aboard the POGO 1250!
- Heading for Marie Galante
During this sailing course, you’ll have the chance to stop in Marie Galante. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy its magnificent beaches and continue your sailing course at a leisurely pace. The next day, depending on your preferences, you can choose to spend a relaxing day alternating between swimming and lounging, or decide to explore the hiking trails to fully immerse yourself in Marie Galante’s landscapes.
- Sailing to Saint Pierre to reach Martinique
You can sail overnight if you’d like. You’ll arrive in the morning to drop anchor in Saint-Pierre. After sailing through the night, you can—depending on your preference—enjoy a “rest day” by alternating between relaxing and swimming from the boat’s deck, or choose to explore Saint-Pierre with a shore excursion.
- Trois Ilets & Anses d’Arlet
To explore Martinique further, head to Trois Ilets to enjoy its exceptional beaches and turquoise waters. After enjoying lunch on board, you’ll have free time to explore the town. In the afternoon, head to Anses d’Arlet to enjoy your evening in a unique setting.
- Disembarkation at Le Marin, Martinique
You’ll disembark at Le Marin marina around 9:00 a.m. after an unforgettable week in the heart of the Caribbean.

To get to the port of Le Marin in Martinique:
Take a direct flight from Paris to Fort-de-France, Martinique (Air France, Air Caraïbes, Corsair).
Once you arrive, take a taxi from the airport to the Port du Marin marina (the ride takes between 15 and 30 minutes).
