The cruise

Marc is a professional skipper, and has taken part in some of the biggest nautical events of the last 20 years. He'll welcome you on board his monohull vessel to either initiate you into the wonders of sailing, or help you progress when crossing the Channel. The programme is mostly made up of sailing.
But the itinerary can be adapted depending on the wind, the weather and the desires of the team. You'll set the course towards Dartmouth, Weymouth, Poole or Solent.

Your possible stops during this cruise

Marc will meet you at 9am at the Port of Cherbourg He'll begin by introducing you to the boat, some rules to follow whilst on board, and will give you some sailing instructions. You'll leave the port around 10am and set sail for England. You will be sailing all day (you will need around 8 hours to reach the English coast). It's a great opportunity to learn on board a well-equipped vessel, and be guided by an experienced skipper. You'll learn how to manoeuvre a racing boat, understand winds, define an itinerary, use mapping materials...

You'll reach the English coast around 6pm. The town of arrival will depend on weather conditions. It could be Dartmouth, Weymouth, Poole or Solent. But how could you spend a night in England without popping to a traditional pub? Some fish and and chips will give you strength for the following day.
On Sunday morning, the boat will be ready at 8am and it's time to start the journey back. You'll arrive at Cherbourg at around 4pm after a second full day of sailing.

If the winds won't allow a full channel crossing, the Channel islands are easily accessible from Cherbourg and are also an excellent playground for sailing fans.
