On the program: set sail in the morning, weigh anchor off the island for a lunch of seafood and Normandy pastries (which can be confirmed when you book your cruise). The afternoon can be spent hiking to discover the marvels of the island. Chausey is a paradise for bird species – silver gulls, cormorants and turnstones, over 200 species in all – a delight for all nature lovers. The island has one of the highest spring tides in Europe and at low tide there is often a tidal range of up to 14 metres which means over 40 km² of ocean floor is reveal at low tide, which makes for fascinating discoveries by everyone, especially if you like fishing.
